Dumpster Rental Info + Terms and Conditions:
WEIGHT LIMIT
Each dumpster rental comes with an agreed upon loading weight limit which is requested by you at the time of booking. Only after we dump the contents of the container will we know whether or not you have exceeded your rented weight allowance. When we arrive at the transfer station, our truck is weighed, contents emptied, and then re-weighed to give a final weight calculation. If you have gone over your weight limit, we will automatically charge the credit card on file and notify you via email of the additional charge with a detailed receipt. If the credit card on file declines, we will contact you for payment collection at the numbers and email addresses provided during booking. If the attempts to contact you are unsuccessful, formal debt collection procedures will begin, and you will be responsible for all legal and collection fees accrued. Overdue accounts will additionally be charged 5% interest for each month past due.
RENTAL PERIOD
Our standard dumpster rental period is 7 days. If you need more time for your project, please ask us during your booking and we will do our best to accommodate your request if possible. If you hold your dumpster for longer than the agreed upon timeframe, there is a $15 per day rental fee. You must schedule your pick-up at least 24 hours in advance of your desired pick-up date.
DROP-OFF PROTOCOL
All dumpster drop-offs take place between 8am-2pm. Due to logistics and factors beyond our control (like traffic, inclement weather, transfer station availability, route changes, etc.), we are not able to guarantee a specific arrival time beyond this window. Therefore, if you must have a dumpster ready first thing in the morning for example, it is best to schedule your drop-off the day prior.
Though being onsite to accept your delivery is the best way for a seamless transition, you do not need to be present should you give us a good description of where to drop it off. However, if you choose to not be present during the drop-off window and the dumpster must be relocated after the fact, there will be a $95 relocation trip fee charged.
All dumpsters must be dropped off on pavement and truck-accessible. We are not able to accommodate most drop-off requests on unpaved surfaces, grass, dirt, or on the street if you have not obtained a required city permit. Our dumpsters are not permitted to be moved by any other person or company for any reason. If our dumpster becomes stuck on your property, you will be responsible for any costs or fees associated with its removal, including truck towing and holdover fee if it causes you to hold the dumpster beyond your rental period. All of our dumpsters come equipped with wheels on the ends for a smooth landing. If you would like wood boards laid down under the dumpster during the drop-off so it does not sit directly on your driveway, please make that request at the time of booking as we do not carry wood in our truck or provide this service unless specifically requested. You will be responsible for the provision of free and suitable access to and from the delivery site (including the removal and reinstatement of local obstructions) and for ensuring suitable ground conditions for delivery, placement and removal of the dumpster. You will hold us harmless, indemnify and waive subrogation against us for any bodily injury or property damage to any surface or individual and you should, therefore, take steps to protect surfaces (e.g. paving slabs, soft ground) before dumpster delivery.
PICK-UP PROTOCOL
Dumpster pick-ups are not automatic and must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. We do not assume when you are finished with your dumpster unless we are contacted with confirmation. All pick-ups are exclusively booked through www.grizzlyjunkpros.com/pickup. Though the dumpster fee is based on an estimated amount of weight and standard rental period, you may request an early pick-up at no extra charge, and we will do our best to accommodate you. Likewise, if you would like an extension on your rental, please contact us at least 24 hours before the end of your rental period to let us know. If we have availability to do so, we are happy to accommodate this request. (Please note that during our busy season, dumpsters are often booked one after another, and swap-outs/extensions are not always possible without advanced notice.) If we do not hear from you, we will assume you have decided to hold onto your dumpster and you will be charged at a rate of $15/day after your agreed upon rental period has elapsed.
In order for a pick-up to be completed successfully, the access-way to the dumpster must be completely clean of any obstruction (including debris, snow, ice, vehicles, etc.) and the surrounding area must be open so that our truck can safely maneuver for the removal of the container. The walk-in door to the dumpster must be closed completely, and no contents whatsoever may extend over the top of the dumpster. There are stickers on the sides of the dumpster marking these limits on the top edge, and they must be adhered to exactly so we may avoid damage to our truck, tarping system, and spill over during transit resulting in significant safety concerns.
If our driver is unable to pick up the dumpster for any of the aforementioned or other reasons beyond our control, there will be a $95 trip fee charged and we will not be able to schedule another pick-up time until the issue has been resolved. You will be charged $15/day for any additional days accrued before the dumpster is able to be successfully picked up. If the driver is forced to wait on site while a blockage or other issue is being handled, you will be charged an additional $85/hr (30-min minimum) for the additional time spent on site. This includes removal of improperly loaded or prohibited items, which will be left on-site, and a fee of $125/hr (charged in 15-min intervals) for any time spent on labor to ensure your dumpster is loaded as required before removal. If our driver determines that you have overloaded your dumpster in a way that is deemed unsafe for pickup, you will be notified and required to remedy the situation before we return to attempt another pick-up, and will be charged a $95 trip fee for the unsuccessful pickup attempt.
Please note that we are not responsible for Acts of God in regard to your dumpster, including any rain, snow, etc that may be enclosed during the time of pick-up. Though most water contents will drain when the dumpster is tipped up, any extra possible weight incurred is your financial responsibility, as it is included in the final weight taken at the scale-house at the transfer station and those fees are passed directly onto you if your dumpster goes beyond the agreed upon weight limit from the time of booking. You are 100% responsible for what is inside your dumpster at the time of pick-up, regardless if the contents have been placed inside by you or not.
PAYMENT
All dumpster rental fees are due up front and in full in order to reserve your dumpster and schedule your drop-off. We only accept payment via credit card (Visa/MC/Disc). Dumpster rentals cannot be purchased with debit cards, checks, or cash. The rental fee is based on how many tons of weight you would like to rent with your container based on your specific project needs. If your dumpster is overweight (determined once weighed at the scalehouse at the transfer station after pick-up), an overweight fee will be assessed at a rate of 7 cents per pound and automatically charged to the payment method you provided at the time of booking. A detailed receipt will be sent to your email and a dump ticket from the transfer station stating the final weight of the container can be supplied upon request within 48 hours of your pick-up date.
CANCELLATIONS
If you need to cancel your dumpster rental, you must email the main office at info@grizzlyjunkpros.com. Cancellations with at least 48 hours notice are eligible for reschedule or refund. Any cancellations with less than 24 hours notice provided are subject to a nonrefundable 50% cancellation fee. In the event that our driver shows up to drop off a dumpster and it is refused on site for any reason, refunds or account credits cannot be granted.
LIVE LOADS
When a driver is requested to stay on site while a dumpster is loaded and take it away immediately after, this is called a live load. We do offer this service with a dumpster rental, at an additional $85/hr with a 1-hr minimum timeframe required.
LOADING LABOR ASSISTANCE
We also offer labor services to assist in filling your dumpster if needed for an hourly fee. Please email us at info@grizzlyjunkpros.com for more information and to get a quote for help with your project.
PROHIBITED ITEMS
The following items are not allowed to be put in the dumpster and will not be taken: 55-gallon drums (empty or full), car batteries, tires (or a $25 fee will be incurred per tire), asbestos or any asbestos-containing products; earth materials including rock, stones, dirt, sand, etc.; hazardous materials including paint, oil, solvents, pesticides, household cleaning materials, etc.; CFC containing appliances including air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers, dehumidifiers, etc. (or a $45 fee will be incurred per item).
